 Biofeedback for Stress Management The bio feedback for stress management is a technique which is used to study the hearts rate. The biofeedback device has electrical sensors that help the body to receive feedback about your body. The bio feedback device for stress management focuses on any subtle changes in the body, such as relaxing of certain muscles, pain reduction and any stress level which has affected the heart rate or breathing procedure.

Different types of biofeedback

The different types of biofeedback include

  • Brain wave: scalp sensors are used to monitor your brain waves
  • Breathing: bands are placed around your abdomen and chest to monitor your breathing pattern
  • Heart rate: uses finger or earlobe sensors with a device called a photoplethysmograph or sensors placed on chest to measure your heart rate and heart rate variability.
  • Sweat glands: include sensors attached to fingers or palm or wrist with an electrodermograph (EDG) which measure the activity of sweat glands. The amount of perspiration on your skin, determines the alerting to anxiety.
